Part of the Cybex Gold range and carrying an A.G.R. (Aktion Gesunder Rücken) award for back-friendly design, the Amya is a thoughtfully engineered carrier that balances ergonomic development for your baby with genuine comfort and practicality for you.

Self-Adapting Fabric: One Carrier, Three Years

The Amya's defining feature is its intuitive stretch back panel, which automatically adjusts to your baby's width as they grow - eliminating the need to swap panels, purchase inserts, or manually reconfigure the carrier at each growth stage. From the earliest days with a newborn to confident toddler adventures, the Amya adapts without any intervention from you.

The carrier is suitable from a minimum weight of 3.2 kg (once your baby reaches 50 cm in height) up to a maximum of 15 kg, covering the full span from newborn through to approximately three years of age.

Four Ergonomic Carrying Positions

The Amya offers four carrying positions to suit your baby's age, development, and your own preference:

• Front inward (newborn position) - from birth to 3 years; keeps your baby closest with the neck support folded inside for maximum head and neck support in the earliest weeks
• Front inward (older baby) - neck support folds outward as your baby gains head control, securing with buttons for a clean, comfortable fit
• Front outward - suitable from approximately 4–6 months once your baby can hold their head independently; recommended for around 20 minutes at a time to let them face the world
• Back inward - suitable from 6 months, giving your child an elevated view over your shoulder on longer walks

Breathable 3D Mesh Fabric

Carrying a baby generates warmth - the Amya addresses this directly with breathable 3D mesh fabric across the back panel, waist belt, and shoulder straps. Ventilation is built in rather than added as an afterthought, keeping both parent and baby cooler and more comfortable during longer carries, warmer days, and active outings.

Ergonomic Hip and Spine Support

The Amya is designed to support healthy development from the earliest carries. The elastic back panel naturally encourages a C-shaped spinal curve, mimicking the posture a newborn adopts when held. Knee padding and the panel's elasticity work together to maintain a hip-healthy M-position, with knees raised above the bottom and hips correctly seated - an important consideration for hip development in infants.

For front outward carries, Cybex advise ensuring knees are at 90° to achieve the optimum ergonomic position.

Click-&-Go Buckles & Practical Details

Designed for parents managing busy days with one hand occupied, the Amya's Click-&-Go Buckles click securely into place with a single motion. Safety buttons prevent accidental release - press both buttons and slide upward to unfasten when you're ready. The cushioned neck support folds in or out as your baby grows, securing with buttons at each stage. Leg loops reduce the circumference of the leg openings for smaller babies, keeping them safely and snugly in place. The padded waist belt redistributes your baby's weight away from the shoulders and towards the back, providing excellent lumbar support on longer walks or when carrying a heavier toddler. A sternum strap further improves weight distribution when shoulder straps are worn parallel.

The Amya weighs just 0.76 kg, making it genuinely easy to carry in a bag when not in use.

Carrying Position Notes

The front inward position is suitable from birth to 3 years. The front outward carry is recommended only once your baby can hold their head up independently (typically 4–6 months) and for no more than around 20 minutes at a time. The back carry position is suitable from 6 months onwards. Always refer to the included user guide for full positioning guidance.
