The Joie i-Prodigi Pro is the next generation of Joie’s Signature extended rear facing car seat. It keeps your child travelling the safest way, facing backwards, from birth right up to around 7 years old. It keeps everything families loved about the original i-Prodigi and adds a deeper, more relaxed recline for comfier journeys.
Joie i-Prodigi Pro provides protection you can trust
The i-Prodigi Pro has passed the Swedish Plus Test, the world’s toughest crash test for child car seats. It is also approved to ECE R129/03 i-Size, including side impact testing. It is rear facing only from 40–125 cm, with a 5-point harness all the way up to 22.5 kg. That is one of the highest harness weight limits you’ll find on an ISOFIX car seat. Rear facing travel spreads crash forces across your child’s back, neck and head, giving their developing spine the support it needs in a frontal collision. Browse our full range of Swedish Plus Tested car seats and extended rear facing car seats to compare options.
Side impact protection comes from the Tri-Protect headrest, which has three layers of energy-absorbing Intelli-Fit memory foam. A detachable Guard Surround Safety pod fits on the door side. For newborns, the grow-with-me infant body and head support adds extra side impact protection and is recommended until baby reaches 60 cm.
Comfort that grows with them
New for the Pro is a 9-position recline that leans back as far as 157°, so little ones can doze comfortably on longer drives. The Grow Together headrest and harness adjust together through 8 heights with one hand, even with the seat installed, so there’s no re-threading as your child grows. Adjustable legroom keeps bigger children comfortable rear facing for longer.
Easy everyday use
The integrated base installs with ISOFIX connectors, a load leg and an adjustable rebound bar, and green indicators confirm a correct fit. Magnetic buckle holders keep the straps out of the way when lifting your child in, and a one-pull harness makes tightening simple. A lightweight aluminium frame keeps the seat to 10.6 kg, and the covers come off for washing at 30°C. As an i-Size seat, it sits naturally within our i-Size car seat collection and pairs well with our car seat accessories.
Expert advice from Little Peas
The Joie i-ProdigiPro isn’t on display in store, but our car seat specialists are always happy to help. They can talk through how it compares with the extended rear facing seats we do have on the floor in our Dunfermline showroom, and give advice on vehicle fit and installation by phone or in person. You can also explore the wider Joie range online, or read more about the i-Prodigi Pro at joiebaby.com.
