The Baby-Safe iSense is a rear-facing infant carrier suitable from birth up to 15 months (up to 13 kg / 83 cm). It shares the same trusted safety foundation as the Baby-Safe 3 i-Size but adds one standout feature: Britax's iSense smart lighting technology.
The safety lights activate automatically when the carrier is moved in a dark environment, interior ambient lights can be turned on to provide comfort for your baby and allow you to see them clearly in the dark, and installation lights guide you through fitting the seat in the car or onto your pushchair. All three can also be operated manually. It's a small detail that makes a real difference during early-morning or late-night journeys.
The Baby-Safe iSense features a patented integral lie-flat recline mechanism, so your baby always settles into the optimal ergonomic position for their height. The headrest adapts as they grow, and the lie-flat angle adjusts automatically as you raise the headrest - no guesswork required. A removable newborn insert cushions smaller babies with additional support in the earliest weeks.
Adjustable lying positions ensure ergonomic and safe travels at all times, and when used with the Flex Base iSense (sold separately), the rotating base allows you to turn the carrier to face the open car door, making it easy to settle and lift your baby in and out. The seat can also be installed using the vehicle seatbelt without a base, and is travel system compatible via Click & Go adapters.
A quick-remove, machine washable cover makes clean-ups straightforward, and the UPF 50+ sun canopy provides protection from sun and wind both in the car and on the pushchair.
The Baby-Safe iSense is designed, tested, and approved to the European standard for child car seat safety ECE R129/03 (i-Size), and must always be used in the rear-facing position.
