Axkid are proud to share that Axkid Up achieved top results in the 2025 ADAC child car seat test, and secured a “Good” overall ADAC result achieving an impressive 2.0 score with leading performance in safety, ergonomics, handling and chemical testing.
ADAC, Europe’s leading independent test institute for child car seats, evaluates dozens of models each year under rigorous conditions. In the autumn 2025 test, Axkid UP achieved top results across all categories, securing a leading position among all tested forward-facing seats. This recognition from Europe’s most trusted independent test institute highlights Axkid’s commitment to innovation and safety for children in traffic.
Category results for Axkid Up
ADAC’s overall rating combines scores from several key categories: safety performance, ease of handling, ergonomics, and chemical testing. Each score reflects performance in rigorous, independently verified tests designed to replicate real-life conditions.
- Chemical test: 1.0
- Total ADAC Score: 2.0 (“Good”)

“We are very pleased with Axkid UP’s strong result in this year’s ADAC test,” says Anton Wall, Vide President at Axkid. “The 2025 test included stricter protocols and tougher crash scenarios, so achieving a ‘Good’ rating is an important recognition of our development work — especially as only 5 out of 16 tested seats reached that level.”
Why this result stands out
ADAC’s 2025 test introduced stricter protocols and tougher crash scenarios than ever before, including updated vehicle setups, new side-impact simulations and expanded chemical checks. Despite these challenging conditions, Axkid UP achieved one of the best safety scores among all tested seats, confirming its strong real-world protection and ease of use.
Designed for real-life safety
While we’re proud of Axkid UP’s performance in ADAC’s demanding test, its true strength lies beyond the lab with features developed for real-life situations. Its adjustable seating height and support leg help maintain an upright sitting position, preventing slouching and keeping the seatbelt properly aligned. This higher head and shoulder position also allows the vehicle’s seatbelt and side airbags to work more effectively in a collision.
