Best-in-class Safety in ADAC for the Beyond System

In the ADAC Autumn 2025 test, the Beyond 360 was tested on the Beyond Base and delivered outstanding results, earning a best-in-class safety rating as the safest 360 child car seat of 2025*.

This impressive performance builds on the already excellent results from 2024, when both the Beyond and Go Beyond seats were tested and praised.

With these results combined, we can now proudly say that the entire Beyond system has proven itself in ADAC’s demanding crash tests. Despite the tougher testing conditions introduced in 2025, Beyond seats continue to stand out for their safety and innovation — giving parents even more confidence in choosing Beyond for their child’s protection.

BeSafe Beyond 360

Beyond-system Test Winner!

In 2024, the BeSafe Beyond won the toddler category in the ADAC test with an exceptional safety score of 1.3 and a total rating of 1.8. It was the only rear-facing car seat for children up to 125 cm to achieve such outstanding results.

In the stricter 2025 ADAC test, the BeSafe Beyond 360 continued the success story with a strong safety score of 2.0 and a total rating of 2.4, making it the highest-rated 360-rotating car seat of the year. Notably, it was also the only rotating seat tested with the larger Q6 crash test dummy, representing a 6-year-old child — a clear testament to its extended protection in real-life scenarios.

What makes the Beyond 360 truly unique is that it’s the first seat of its kind to combine 360° rotation with the ability to be used both rear-facing and forward-facing all the way up to 125 cm / 22 kg. This allows children to remain rear-facing — the safest position — for longer than ever before, while still offering the everyday convenience of rotation.

We’re proud of this lightweight, innovative seat, which features rotation on an ISOfix base and our Universal Level Technology™. This ensures the seat maintains the same safe angle in any car, making the ADAC test results more relevant to real-life use.

And while test scores are important, we always want to highlight that the most effective way to protect your child is to keep them rear-facing as long as possible. With the BeSafe Beyond system, you can do just that — without compromising on comfort, usability, or safety.

Since the Beyond 360 is approved for both rear- and forward-facing use, the frontal impact safety score is based on forward-facing testing. This means that when used rear-facing, the seat provides an even higher level of protection — something we are incredibly proud of.

Go Beyond and Beyond Base

The first-ever lay-flat seat to achieve top safety rating!
Our patented Active Lay Flat™ technology ensures your child can comfortably lie flat during the ride, and automatically adjusts to an upright position in case of an accident.

With the Beyond base and our unique Universal Level Technology™, the seat maintains a consistent position and angle in every car, making the results from the steep ADAC test bench transferable to your car.

Director New Product Development Okke van Mourik:
“Active Lay-Flat™ positioning gives us the possibility to maximize the lay-flat angle in a vehicle, since it will change with 20 degrees to a more upright position in a crash situation.

By using the Universal Level Technology™ in the base, we also guarantee this maximized lay-flat angle in every vehicle, independent from the angle of the vehicle seat.”

Test results vs. real life

The ADAC test is a thorough and well recognized test, and we take pride in the results. Our primary goal is to create car seats that provide the highest safety in real-life situations. We know that some of our safety innovations may not be reflected in the test scores and in some cased it even leads to lower test results. cases it can even lead to lower test results.

Some examples:

Extended rear-facing (ERF)

Extended rear-facing is the safest choice for children. Although ERF seats can take up more space in a vehicle, which negatively impacts test scores, we prioritise safety over test results. It can be argued that it is slightly more challenging for children to look out of the windows when seated rear-facing instead of forward facing. This also has a negative impact on the test results.

5 point harness

The test does not give extra credit for a five-point harness, but rather the opposite as it in this test is the opinion that it is slightly more challenging to buckle up, compared to a 3-point harness. We believe a 5-point harness is the safest option, as it optimally secures the child in real life situations that are not part of the consumer testing, like accidents with a roll-over. We do not compromise on safety for the sake of better test results.

Vehicle seat bench angle

The ADAC crash tests are performed in a Polo car body with steep vehicle seats, most cars do not have seats this steep. We design our car seats to deliver the same comfort and safety in any car, with our patented Universal Level Technology™.

We know that Go Beyond holds a real lay-flat position across all cars, independent of how steep the seat in your car is. For most other products in the market, the angle of the child’s car seat will vary highly, depending on how steep or flat the back seat (or front seat) in your car is. Due to the Universal Level Technology™ we know our safety performance will be the same with any testbench or any car, no matter steep or flat backseats. This technology guarantees consistent safety and comfort across different vehicles and test environments.

We develop seats and products for real life, for the safety of our youngest ones!

We are extremely proud of the BeSafe Beyond system’s test results and that we are acknowledged as a leader in child safety innovation.
